Staying at Alice Court Guest House provides you with an ideal base from which you can get out and explore. Yet it is conveniently located for the restaurants, bars, shops and banks. Take a walk around Llandudno and you’ll immediately come across some amazing coastal scenery and distant panoramic mountains views of Snowdonia.
Starting right from the very front door of where you are staying with us, there stands the Great Orme Mountain and headland of the Creuddyn Penisula. Turning left or right out of the front door, you can set out on an amazing coastal walk that takes you around on a 4.5 mile walk on Marine Drive. Up on the mountain you can take one of the many trails that take you through the country park, whilst enjoying the stunning coastal views all around you.
Rivers and Mountain Walks:
The estuary and river walk also starts from the end of the Guest House, where you can enjoy walking through the sand dunes, along the estuary and around the Golf Courses, where the walk meanders along the riverside and takes you into the medieval walled town of Conwy. Breaking for lunch, you can extend your walk onto the scenic and historic Conwy Mountain across the river.
If you enjoy coastal walking, then the local bus which departs opposite the Guest House, takes you out to Rhos-on-Sea, Colwyn Bay and Pensarn (Abergele), where you can enjoy a magical coastal walk back towards Llandudno. There are plenty of stopping places for refreshments and if you have had enough, you can cut short and jump on the bus to return right outside the Guest House!
Lakes and Mountain Walks:
Further afield the Conwy Valley offers amazing walks around the twin lakes of Crafnant and Gerionydd. In the hills there’s also a stunning waterfall walk and at Betws-y-Coed you can enjoy riverside and forest walking. The king walk of them all is to take on the Snowdon Mountain, with one of the six different routes up and down the mountain or if you are not keen on walking the height of the Mountain, then a stroll in and out of the Snowdon Horseshoe offers the most amazing scenery.
On the Island of Anglesey we have some amazing sections of coastal walking on beautiful beaches, with forests, out to historic and interesting islands and also cliff top walks.
