Our Local Golf Clubs in and around Llandudno
There’s nothing pretentious about golf in North Wales. We’re talking about unspoiled courses at affordable prices, with two golf courses within a mile of the guest house and a further two within five miles.

Our local coastal courses are full of character – so they all offer a very different playing experience.
North Wales Golf Club and Conwy Golf Club (Championship) hug the shores or the estuary of the river Conwy and offer wonderful sea, river and mountain views right through your round. Maesdu Golf Club (Llandudno) and Rhos-on-Sea Golf Club both offer a parkland style course, with distant sea views.
Within a 30 minute drive you can also reach the following quality golf courses at Abergele, Rhuddlan and Prestatyn.
The Isle of Anglesey also offers quality golf at Bull Bay Golf Club and Henllys Golf Club at Beaumaris.

Conwy (Caernarvonshire) Golf Club is the must play golf course on the North Wales coast and the first Open Qualifying venue in Wales. Further afield and well worth the drive, there are more amazing courses to play!
For impressive and dramatic sea views, Nefyn and District Golf Club features eight holes that reach out into the sea on a headland that is compared to Pebble Beach in the USA. This alone has to be one of the most beautiful courses around for scenery.
Another classic links course is Royal St David’s Golf Club at Harlech, with the castle and Snowdonia as a backdrop. The course is widely regarded as one of the hardest par 69’s in the world. Ian Woodsman puts Royal St David’s in his five best British Golf Courses! The 15th is possibly the finest bunkerless hole in the country!
Aberdovey Golf Club is another classic links championship course and features one of the most inspirational holes in British Golf, where on the 12th a par 3, there’s just no room for error!
The Vale of Llangollen Golf Club in the Dee Valley attracts golfers far and wide. The 9th ‘River hole’ is regarded as one of the best in Welsh golf!
For something unusual, how about a round of golf where you can play golf in two countries during a single round! Llanymynech Golf Club is the only golf course in Europe where you can do this! With 15 of the holes in Wales, 3 in England and the feature hole is the 4th, where you tee off in Wales and put out in England – how unique is that!
